ANCESTRAL FORCE

Nipëihu Sanctuary • Bahia, Brazil

August 15–22, 2026

With deep respect, we invite you to gather on the sacred lands of Bahia, Brazil,

in the presence of the Yawanawá tradition and the living wisdom it carries.

A 7-night immersive experience rooted in ancestral wisdom, spiritual study, and lived connection.

A space to reconnect with the living intelligence of the forest, deepen your relationship with yourself and the world around you, and remember the force that moves through all of life.

What is remembered here is not new, but ancient, and still alive.

WHY ANCESTRAL FORCE?

We are living in a time of profound transformation. Structures are dissolving. Identities are shifting.

What once felt stable no longer holds in the same way. Many feel this movement within themselves, in their bodies, their relationships, and their inner world.

Alongside this unraveling, something deeper is becoming available: a return to what is essential.
A reconnection to the forces that sustain life.

Across cultures and lineages, ancestral wisdom reminds us that life is not random.
It is guided by an intelligence far older than the mind.

ANCESTRAL FORCE is a return to the living intelligence of life.

The force that moves through the Earth.

Through the forest.
Through lineage and memory.

A force that does not belong to the past,
but continues to live and move through us now.

This gathering takes place on land that holds and reflects this intelligence.

NIPËIHU SANCTUARY

This gathering unfolds within the living refuge of Nipëihu Sanctuary, in the sacred lands of Bahia, Brazil.

Rooted in ancestral territory and guided by the guardians of this place, Nipëihu is home to a native ecosystem that still remembers. This sanctuary is more than land. It is a field of prayer.

A place where the nervous system softens, the spirit recalibrates, and the heart returns to what is true.

Carrying the essence of the Yawanawá village of Mutum,  Nipëihu is devoted to protecting and honoring the plants of power, the spirits of healing, and the living traditions that sustain life.

Here, the forest is not separate from us.

It is relationship. It is remembrance. It is living wisdom.

To be in this place is to enter into relationship, with the land, with the teachings, and with yourself.

This  is not an escape from life. It is a return to what is real.

YOUR GUIDES

These guides do not offer information alone.
They carry living transmission.

Rooted in lineage, shaped through devotion, and held by sacred responsibility, they walk with the forest as teacher and prayer as foundation.

HUSHAHU YAWANAWÁ

In 2005, Hushahu became the first woman of her people and of other tribes in the region to undertake a spiritual study, spending over a year in Samakẽi, an isolated retreat in the rainforest. There, she entered the world of the Pajés as a woman, bringing a feminine voice to chants that were traditionally masculine through her art and her voice.

Her return inspired her people, fostering greater balance between men and women and rekindling a deeper connection with their traditions.

As a spiritual leader, Hushahu has guided many, and her visionary artwork is embraced by various tribes across Brazil. In 2024, she entered the Runua Xinã diet, one of the most powerful spiritual diets of her culture, and has since completed this profound initiation. She continues to share her strength, presence, and the wisdom gained through her journey with those who seek her guidance.

NAIWENI YAWANAWÁ

Mariazinha Naiweni Yawanawá is one of the principal leaders of the Yawanawá people. She played a central role in the Mutum village, where she served as Chief.

Recognized for her strength, wisdom, and vision, she was the first woman to assume a leadership position among her people, breaking traditional barriers and inspiring new generations of Indigenous women to step into roles of decision-making and leadership.

Walking a path rooted in both tradition and transformation, Naiweni continues to guide her community with clarity and presence, supporting the preservation of Yawanawá culture while strengthening the role of women within it.

KENEWMA YAWANAWÁ

Kenewma Yawanawá is a spiritual leader, artist, and cultural guardian of the Yawanawá people, carrying the legacy of a powerful matriarchal lineage.

She was the first young woman and only the third woman of her nation to complete the sacred Muká diet, a profound spiritual initiation traditionally reserved for elders. This historic path positioned her as a pioneer in the resurgence of feminine spiritual leadership within her culture.

Kenewma is also co-founder of the Nipëihu Sanctuary in Bahia, where she leads initiatives rooted in Indigenous spirituality, healing, and the arts. Through her work, both in person and online, she has guided hundreds of women in reconnecting with their inner strength, ancestral wisdom, and the sacred feminine.

JORDÃO PEKÛTI

Jordão Pekûti Souza Yawanawá began his journey with the Yawanawá people in 2009, becoming the last student of the revered Pajé Tata and dedicating himself to the study of ancestral plant medicine and Indigenous wisdom.

As co-founder of the Nipëihu Sanctuary in Bahia, he leads and co-creates initiatives that strengthen the preservation and revitalization of Yawanawá culture and spirituality, while also supporting its expansion beyond the forest.

Through his work, Jordão builds bridges between tradition and modernity, helping to amplify Indigenous voices and foster deeper intercultural dialogue.

ISARUÃ ADAIR

Isãrua has lived as part of the Yawanawá family since 2020, alongside his wife Hushahu, at the Awavãna Center in the Amazon forest. In 2024, after supporting her Samakẽi of Runua Xinã, he began his own Samakẽi of Muká, living in deep retreat in the jungle and dedicating himself to the study of the spiritual tradition.

A musician and advocate for a life in harmony with nature, he serves as a bridge between the Western world and the Yawanawá tradition, sharing the teachings with respect and dedication.
